Olivia is a critical thinker who brings creative solutions and out of the box ideas to solve complex issues. Olivia is a valued addition to The Decisive Point performing a lead role in operations support for the team, providing research and coordination support primarily for our Defence and Defence industry clients.

In 2021, Olivia was selected as a Young Australians in International Affairs Future Leader, and as a delegate for the inaugural Youth National Security Strategy Symposium. Moreover, Olivia is a recipient of both the prestigious CAS Hawker Scholarship, and the Queen’s Scout Award.

Currently studying a double degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and International Security Studies at the Australian National University, Olivia brings not only great analytical and technical skills to the team but also a capacity to understand the broader strategic implications of our work. She has had several papers shortlisted for a variety of online journals and platforms, focusing particularly on challenges to Australia’s future foreign policy and strategic engagement with an increasingly dynamic Indo-Pacific.

In addition to her studies, Olivia is also a crisis writer for the Australian Crisis Simulation Summit, a unique, fun, and innovative student-led initiative designed to develop participants critical thinking, teamwork, and crisis management skills.

Previously, she worked as the Executive Manager of Grants and Partnerships for Jasiri Australia, a small social enterprise that delivers programs to empower and upskill young women. In this role, Olivia was responsible for managing key stakeholders, developing marketing and proposal pitch documents, and assisting in executive level strategic planning.

Olivia is currently living in Canberra and finishing the last year of her degree.
